Just wanted to share a few words of encouragement in hopes that this message finds it’s way to the individuals that are meant to see it.
I know often you hear people say “trust the process” and usually it is in reference to going through times when you may be unsure of the outcome.
Here’s why you must REALLY trust the process. There is a plan with your name on it. There is a purpose for your delay. Though it may not be clear now, eventually you will begin to see why certain events in your life took place. Why things are moving at the pace they are, and why certain people have made entrance and exits out of your life.
As cliche as inserting “everything happens for a reason” in this blog would be right now, I have to…
When moments begin to get foggy and you begin to feel the pressure of the outside world you have to remember that your life is no accident. Your journey is a part of a purpose and the very best thing you can do for yourself at this point is embrace everything. All of it…the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Can you imagine for a moment getting into a pool of water, except you can’t really swim and the objective is to make it from one end to the other without drowning. So as you step in the pool you look to see how deep it is in the middle and you realize that it’s depth is way over your own height, but you hear the instructor say ” you can do this, just make it to the other side by any means necessary.”
What will you do?
You begin to nervously and anxiously walk towards the middle of the pool and you feel the water rising up… slowly.
So many thoughts are going through your mind but off to the side you hear the instructor say, “whatever you do..don’t panic.”
So you keep going and then suddenly you feel your feet begin to lift off the bottom of the pool and your body begins to feel lighter in weight and you, without hesitation begin to sway your arms to the movement of the water as the pool has now fully covered your head, now you’re floating and then you feel yourself moving…you’re swimming!
Then suddenly, you feel a draft of air and you feel yourself slow down in movement and your legs drop and your feet touch the bottom of the pool again. You open your eyes and look up and you see the instructor was right there by your side the entire time and was right there with you at the other side of the pool. You couldn’t see him, but he was there and all you did was trust the direction of your body and your instinct.
You had no idea how you were going to get to the other side but instead of deciding not to go through with it..you trusted the process. The water wasn’t that deep the entire way and though it got scary in the middle you pushed your way through anyway only to find out that you had just learned how to swim!
So if you haven’t caught on to where this was intended to take you let me make it perfectly clear…
You ARE going to make it to the other side. Life won’t always be so deep that you can’t see the end goal. You are given a purpose and a journey and along the way there will be “instructors” guiding you. You may not be able to see them, but trust that they are there.
The process was never meant to be easy, and it may be a little scary, but just know that you ARE going to get your feet back on the bottom of that pool and when they finally touch down, the swimming lesson is over. You’re done.
Until Next Time,
Peace & Blessings
