So daylight savings time ended and the time went back..now what?
Aside from my body slowly shutting down at 9pm now and it getting dark entirely too early, what else has changed?
Some people look at it as an extra hour of sleep..and then some look at it as longer days at work like that whole glass half empty, half full thing.
For me, I always decide to look at the beginning and ending of daylight savings time as a temporary change of circumstances and I neither look forward to OR despise the EXPECTED change twice a year.
OUR world, in all it’s crazy chaos is on one accord because there is a force in time change for all of us and whether we like it or not we must adjust to it.
So with that being said, it got me to thinking about what else we must “just deal with” in life. What other circumstances in our lives are completely out of our control that we must just go with the flow on?
A lot.
There are many things that are beyond our control and though we may wish that they could be different the only thing we can do is force ourselves to adjust and carry on with life.
The thing is though, too many people allow themselves to be consumed with things that are out of their control and they allow these things to affect not only their days but their lives. For some people if they would just realize that “minding the business that pays them” is actually GREAT advice, they would be so much more productive.
Anything that you have no control over should really be given less of your energy and more of your “daylight savings time mentality”…meaning just go with the flow, adjust where necessary, and carry on with life.
This includes people that you are having a hard time understanding why they are the way they are or why they seem to give you certain “off” vibes. People that you wonder why they don’t support you the way YOU want them to. Or maybe why co-workers seem to have certain negative attitudes all the time. Or how about that ex that never seemed to get it right….or that friendship that just seems dead.
The list can go on and on but the point that I’m trying to make is that you may never really understand a lot of things but you really only have one job..just go with the flow and carry on with life because time waits for no one and the world continues to spin so instead of wasting your precious time being concerned about things that you have absolutely no control over, I encourage you to carry on.
Trust me, its’s for the best.
If it’s one thing we can all agree on it’s that life can be complicated right? That goes without saying, but there is one thing that seems pretty simple and that is that you as a person have this one life to live and get it as close to the “plan” as possible. The journey you were assigned to embark on needs your full attention and your full dedication to accomplish as many of your goals and chase as many of your dreams as possible, so you really don’t have the time to waste on things beyond your understanding and reach.
Just as we must adjust to daylight savings time, we need to be more aware of adjusting to our life time, and anything that distracts you from this is just not worth it. You either need to spring forward of just fall back. Either way….
Carry on.
Until Next Time,
Peace & Blessings
